RAINCAMPAIGN SEA LIFE

Maybe not the right on street guerilla campaign for all countries,
but in the Netherlands it rains over 240 days of the year ;-)

A flashmob too far! Dr Pepper... Tragic :-(

When you have a heritage like Dr Pepper, surely you can do better then this?

This will do more damage than good unfortunately... and a lesson to all brands planning to
do a flashmob, don't... it's done & dusted, T-Mobile took it to the extreme and beyond!

But sure do a flashmob if you can do something original, different or bigger ;-)

Sixt: Blow The Clouds Away

Jung von Matt/Elbe (Germany) help Sixt car rentals... but more importantly make the citizens of Halle very happy
people. This is top of mind advertising and communication at it's best, great idea!!! Would love to know the results
in numbers and the cost of doing such a concept. Sandro Wolf should get the key to the city, that's for sure!

RECESSION MARKETING - T-Mobile do it again

T-Mobile continue their campaign by again putting focus on key strategic approaches (of the time) by bringing people
together for fun experiences and more importantly the concept of sharing the experience, because Life's For Sharing.

This works on so many levels and is tapping into key principles of the moment which attract people and thus feeds
back into the brand. The happy, fun element is a big part of this as people want an escape from money and
job depression, or from not knowing what fate is around corner. This time people were invited to the event, rather
than a pop-up flash-mob, this attracted over 13,000 people.

Add teaser trailers and the idea you will be part of something BIG, plus put the ad in a commercial break for Britain's Got Talent
on a Saturday Night and all the elements add up. Huge production level here, but the final cuts will be spread into
other European markets. Nice one Saatchi & Saatchi!

Final thought, does McCartney really need any more royalties?

SNOW TAGGING - Quick Hit Branding Blitz

Innovation for me is not just about creating the latest technology, it's about creating something new, maybe an idea
or utilizing a concept quickly, or with a lack of money or in unique situations etc. Like this idea by Curb for the sports
channel and lifestyle brand Extreme. Taking advantage of the current odd weather to hit the UK, they've been quick to
blitz London, that is key here. Although not a new idea on the slopes, taking it and hitting an urban environment like
London, which doesn't get snow is a bit clever. Snow is directly connected to the brand, so the idea becomes tight.

Coming out of a tube station and walking your usual route to and from work, but seeing these logos in different
places will have an emotional effect, which should create a bond if you live the extreme way and deffiently create word
of mouth for those not in the know. And best of all, all the advertising space is for free ;-)

T-MOBILE - Life's For Sharing

This is a prime example of a brand making the most out of the credit crisis, developing their humanistic payoff and
approach, utilizing and associating themselves with FUN ideas ;-)

Although borrowing from the flashmob concept that took place in Grand Central a couple of years back, T-Mobile
kill it in this piece of guerilla adverting. 350 recruited dancers + PR value = priceless!

CARNIVAL CRUISE - How To Promote Fun

Everyone wants to promote their brand as fun these days (part of linking to more emotional / from the
heart advertising) But how do you actually do this, especially when there are fine lines between fun and stupid...
and your brand still wants to be taken seriously.
Well this is one way, and a Guiness Book Record is defiantly a serious thing! To promote their cruises, Carnival
created a carnival atmosphere in the streets of Dallas with giant beach balls and a street party.
Fun For All. All For Fun. This company has defiantly tapped into a winning formula for these current times.

IN-GAME ADVERTISING - Democratic Dollars

Last week GamePolitics broke the news of Barack Obama ads popping up in Burnout Paradise. The Associated
Press has confirmed the story, stating that the Obama campaign has bought ad space in nine EA titles including
Madden 09 and NASCAR 09. The ads will run through November 3 on Xbox Live.

I'm staying out of that politics stuff happening over there, but this fella has some smart guys behind him.

FOR GOD - Guerilla Marketing / Scam

Something rather funny, but also very controversial has just come to light in Sweden. The company
that make the machine you push when wanting to cross the road, have come out and said that the
iconology is actually a well-known Christian symbol... referring to that there is only one path to God.
The device is in 55 swedish cities and 17 different countries, the company have kept it secret until now.

This is the best guerilla marketing campaign I have ever heard of! But take a look at the company website...
Prisma Teknik and all the signs are there. Read full story in Swedish...
