INFLUENCERS (FULL VERSION)

When I saw the trailer for this last month, I thought I would have to wait and
catch it at a film festival, or buy it on DVD. Nice to now see it so quickly ;-)

Looking forward to seeing more clips, seems this could be much longer...
A full documentary would be nice :-)

Stella Artois - You Got The Love

I'm not so into the new Stella Artois campaign/concept, but I love this cover!

The concept/brand seems to try and attach itself to the green/sustainable strategy, I think.
But doesn't really feel that authentic. Maybe I'll change my mind in time.

Check out and explore the clips on their YouTube channel...

YO SUSHI - Service Provider

I was back in the UK during the holidays and one thing I always do is pop into YO! Sushi for a bite. Not only do they
have a vast fresh menu (not just fish) but the fact that it goes round in front of you, giving you more choice to try
different things is appealing. The colour plate (cost) system also makes the experience quick, easy and simple.

One of the best elements is that if you find you want to order something hot and can't get the chefs attention in the
middle, there is a BIG red help button right in front of you to call the waitress. These attentions to detail and great
service is something many brands and companies should take note of, especially in these current times.

Good service and customer care is a classic and proven strategy, especially if there is no budget to produce fun,
innovative ideas and concepts, I guess some of the best innovation comes from no money ;-)

NTI - Use Your Talent In The Right Way

This week and next, NTI (a high school in 10 cities throughout Sweden) launch and rollout their campaign.
The concept and production was all produced on a very short timeline with the help of photographer
Alexander Crispin and Agent Bauer on production duties.

As well as appealing to kids aged 15, a big part of the brief was to appeal to their parents and also create awareness
to other schools and teachers. We had more edgy concepts and looks, but chose to go with a more traditional channel and
photography style, to appeal to such a vast and mixed target audience.

There is also a digital platform to the concept which will be implemented later in the year on a much larger scale ;-)

Click the images for more detail, note nothing has been added during retouch, what you see is what you get...

AGENT PROVOCATEUR / PIRATES / HELENA CHRISTIAN - Avast!

It was the day before Christmas 2001, Soho, London. I walked past the shop first to check it out a little, nervous I would be
attacked by aggressive nympho staff. I rang the doorbell, was let in and greeted by 2 friendly smily girls dressed in pink.
They then continued to help my shopping expierence all the way to the cash desk and saying goodbye at the door.
I left with a smile on my face and the girlfriend was very happy that xmas;-)

I have been a keen follower ever since, mailing list etc! Their web presence has always been high and forward thinking, creating user
experiences and collaborations way before most fashion brands. So when I heard about this theme with one of my other favourite things - Pirates, I couldn't wait!
They could have even released this on Talk Like A Pirate Day... Arrrrrrr!

WEB 2.0 - But Offline?

It's all about open public dialogues. The bubbles encourage anyone to customize them with any expression. More
Bubbles mean more dialogues in more places, more sharing of personal thoughts, more reactions to current events,
and most importantly - more imagination and fun! This is an old idea which just works so well for this day and age,
advertisers should take note! The Bubble Project...

ORANGE - I am who I am because of everyone

As part of the - ''together we can do more'' campaign, Fallon has created a good stab at a proper integrated
campaign for Orange - ''I am...''. All channels seem to be well thought through and well featured! Great simple
AD (& models) in the print ads, heart yerking emotional clips and good web content, explore!

What I like best are the payoffs and overall positioning, it seems to me to be an attempt to capture, reference
and ride with the current state of our world - being connected online, social networks, community and sharing...
which will hopefully push development in all fields to make way for the new!
I must be watching too much TED.com ;-)

CHANGE IS GOOD!

Over the next few months the Filtered Blog will
be going through some changes, content wise.

There will still be plenty of lovely creative stuff
highlighted from around the world, as like now.
But there will be extra content which will appear
slowly at first, then hopefully develop.

I can't say more at the moment as I'm not sure
myself how this development will progress.
Keep posted to see ;-)

FALLON - Tomas Mankovsky

Last week I had a like-minded meeting with Fallon creative, Tomas Mankovsky. The general conversations were
about creativity and advertising, it was interesting to find out more about how Fallon let him take Mondays off to
work on his own projects. But then again of course they would as they feed back into the company, but that's not
why he does it, all us creatives need other outlets, things we don't have to put logos on or sell into clients.

Above is one such self-initiated project which I really like! He tried to sell it first to a very famous music channel,
but as that channel is famous for not paying for creative, it didn't go through. The week after through Fallon they
sold it into Sony. The life of an idea is funny old thing, they are like fish!

BLOGGING - The 4 c's

If you have a blog or have a client that wants a blog, before going ahead, take into account
the 4 c's! COMMUNITY / CLARITY / CONTENT / CONSISTENCY. If you or your client can't
deliver all of these, don't bother. It may be your job to talk the client out of it, so use this simple
model to explain why not, otherwise you will be to blame when they wonder why it isn't working
for them ;-) ''But why isn't is working, I thought it was cool to have a blog, you didn't do it right, bye bye''

AUDI - Symphony

Following on from The Art Of Performance campaign, Audi continue with
Audi Symphony... an orchestra composed of 41 musicians, 1 maestro and 2 Dj's...
from the German Bauhouse group, playing live music set to edited Audi R8 film clips.
Love this type of emotional advertising/stunts!

HUMANITARIAN PROJECT - Advertising

Advertising can save the world! We just have to have the dedication to make it happen!
So if you are entering the Cannes Lions Festival this year, please follow through with this ;-)

NOKIA - Snake

Farfar & Hobby Film create this fun online viral for Nokia nGage, promoting the classic
(my fav) game Snake. It's funny how things posted on youtube get picked up by creative agencies
and used in advertising and music video's. Saw this a while back, I wonder if it was the reference?

DANIEL EATOCK - Sthlm

Last night in Stockholm I had the opportunity to hear Daniel Eatock give a talk about his work.
I first became aware of him through his early Channel 4 (UK) advertising and design projects, but it was
great to understand his more conceptual work which often has a comedic twist or brings a smile to the mind.
He also invented and shared the web system Indexhibit, which can be downloaded and used for free.

Above is a table mat created for Riche, no need to steal it, guests are allowed to keep it after eating ;-)
