Today I caught the Andreas Gursky exhibition at the Moderna Museet, Stockholm. Having been fascinated by his
images for well over a decade it was great to finally see many of his pieces up close and in a large format.
Gursky is well know for his photography reaching record prices and breaking the boundaries between art and
photography. In 2007, his print 99 Cent II, Diptych, took the record for highest price paid at auction for a single
photographic image. Sold for GBP 1.7 million (USD $3.3 million) at Sotheby's, London. And why not I say!
