AR TUBE MAPS - iPhone Augmented Reality

Saw this last month and came across the website for acrossair yesterday! This App kicks ass and is a huge shift
for how people interact within their environment. The world will be an odd place when we start walking around wearing
strange glasses and bringing up info on buildings, products, people... everything? Map also available for NYC ;-)

DRUNKALIZER - iPhone App

Some fun to be had with this! And when you've run out of laughing at yourself,
start recording people without them knowing ;-) Get it free from the iPhone App Store!

BACK TO BLOG!

Well it's been sometime since my last post, this is due to various reasons:

1 - Gave it a rest! I found I'd talked about most things in terms of strategic thinking and was repeating myself.
2 - Too busy to blog. Have had some major projects that needed my full attention. Coming soon!
3 - Summer Holidays. Had some lovely trips here and there!
4 - Been away a lot on various work related events.
5 - My Hard Disk died :-( nearly back to how I had it, minus some files unfortunately, must back-up more ;-)

Over the next couple of weeks I'll be posting what I've been up to, as well as new creative stuff...
and things that may be a bit older, but well worth a mention.

Hold tight ;-)

Sorry I'm Late - Tomas Mankovsky

Tomas Mankovsky (formally of Fallon London) has created this lovely piece of stop-motion. Watch out Pes!

YouTube - Home Page

It's always hard for agencies to create their own sites. Too many options and ideas, paid work takes priority etc.
It's usually better to outsource it if you can. This homepage for BooneOakley.com is definitely a refreshing approach!

RECESSION MARKETING - T-Mobile do it again

T-Mobile continue their campaign by again putting focus on key strategic approaches (of the time) by bringing people
together for fun experiences and more importantly the concept of sharing the experience, because Life's For Sharing.

This works on so many levels and is tapping into key principles of the moment which attract people and thus feeds
back into the brand. The happy, fun element is a big part of this as people want an escape from money and
job depression, or from not knowing what fate is around corner. This time people were invited to the event, rather
than a pop-up flash-mob, this attracted over 13,000 people.

Add teaser trailers and the idea you will be part of something BIG, plus put the ad in a commercial break for Britain's Got Talent
on a Saturday Night and all the elements add up. Huge production level here, but the final cuts will be spread into
other European markets. Nice one Saatchi & Saatchi!

Final thought, does McCartney really need any more royalties?

FOR BETTER SOUND...

SOFT FURNISHINGS - Peter Saville & Nick Knight - The Interviews...

The Soft Furnishings project/shoot (Peter Saville's Erotic House story for the July issue of Wallpaper*) has been
taking place over the last couple of days. Also with a LIVE feed now. I've caught bits here and there, it's been interesting
listening to Saville work behind the scenes and his collaboration (again) with Nick Knight. But like most shoots there's
a fair share of sitting around, while prep and chats take place.

I'm really looking forward to catching the printed images in the magazine in July, I have a lot of respect for these 2 creatives,
Nick Knight and the way he pushes the boundaries of photography. And Saville for his meticulous thought process,
detail and references. I might take this back when I see the images... but at the moment this feels more like
a homage to Guy Bourdin, who basically invented this style of photography and brought it into fashion and advertising.
Still love this concept though and a great idea to broadcast it like this, openness and insights will be the norm very soon.
The end result will look very Peter Saville in a way ;-) Big-up!

Also interesting how more and more LIVE feeds are popping up, I can't get enough, whatever they are.
I did one last month which had some tech faults but was still hugely popular, more based around an event.
Seems like LIVE feeds will become very mainstream.

Soft Furnishings is still LIVE now if you are awake and reading...
